This is an exciting opportunity to teach and support learners both in the classroom and workshop.
We are looking for candidates who have industry experience in electrical or mechanical engineering and feel confident in providing professional advice and guidance to students and young people.
You will be joining an Outstanding faculty that is proactive in working with employers and the local community to deliver quality teaching, training and assessment.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, a good communicator and able to deliver outstanding training. Experience of teaching and working in a support role would be an advantage, however teacher training will be offered for the successful candidate.
This role is a mixture of technical support, instructing and lecturing. If you have excellent knowledge of technical, vocational subjects and a passion for sharing this with learners we would like to hear from you.
Successful applicants will have had experience of working with a range of learners with varied educational backgrounds, and must be committed to outstanding teaching and learning or be able to demonstrate potential in these areas.
Basic maintenance and preparation of equipment for learning environments is involved as part of a daily routine. The ideal candidate should feel confident when using and inducting students in a broad range of equipment. You will have substantial industry experience or hold a relevant qualification and have up to date knowledge of industry practice.
You either need to hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
